Senior Project Planner

The CompanyTroocoo are partnered with a leading resources organisation delivering integrated energy and infrastructure services to recruit a Senior Project Planner based out of their Townsville office.The RoleSat within the Central Projects Function, the Senior Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules across significant mining and rail capital works programs.Key responsibilities include:

• Work closely with various stakeholders including Project Managers to develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
• Develop and maintain a master schedule for the sustaining capital works program.
• Create baseline schedules for major projects as per company procedures.
• Produce progress reports for the leadership team including S Curve, productivity information and manning statistics together with interpretive narrative.
• Communicate with the Project Managers on schedule status, variances, and performance metrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations for schedule improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate schedule-related activities and resolve conflicts as needed to maintain the Master Schedule.

• Proven experience in project scheduling across large-scale programs of work within the mining, rail or water industries is essential.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 software, including creating and managing schedules, assigning resources, and generating reports required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices in construction scheduling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address scheduling challenges.
