About the role

The purpose of the Senior Purchasing & Inventory Analyst role is to Identify, analyse, present, report and recommend solutions to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business requirements, business strategy and the organisation’s operational plans.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Managing Zinfra’s material sales process
  • Identifying and analysing areas for improvement relating to business systems, processes, workflows, and customer service, whilst understanding the implications of implementing system change.
  • Providing support to Logistics Customers on all facets of Logistics & Warehouse Management.
  • Minimising stock holdings to less than 8 weeks Stock on Hand.
  • Maximising buying power as per local procurement strategy and in accordance with Procurement Policy.
  • Monitoring slow moving stock and reporting, escalating issues for business resolutions
  • Purchasing materials in accordance with Procurement Policy, Purchasing Manual and standards.
  • Managing and reporting on vendor performance, working with vendors to improve performance
  • Ensuring data accuracy in material master related to business specifications, vendor, purchasing orders and delivery details; ensuring that consistency is maintained between systems where there are multiple systems.
  • Analysing spend data and conducting supplier and tender evaluation & analysis as per Procurement Policy
  • Preparing and reporting on monthly KPI’s

About You

The successful applicant will possess strong analytical skills and have a proven ability to negotiate favourable terms with supplies. They will also have the following:

  • Experienced SAP user in MM, PM & PS Modules
  • Proven experience participating in and/or leading successful projects
  • Proven experience working in a similar position
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Highly motivated with a drive to succeed
