Job description

Our Client is a well established health and nutrition company. With an international presence, they have 3 business segments - Baby, Adult and Pet Nutrition and Care
They are on the hunt for a Senior Quality Control Associate to assist in driving the business forward.
Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day QC operation. Providing direct supervision, communication of requirements and expectations of the Quality Control Technician and Microbiologist daily responsibilities.
  • Develop laboratory programs, procedures, manual, forms etc. to ensure the lab complied with Chinese GB standard, ISO 17025 requirement and WH&S.
  • Follow up all changes related to GB testing methods, GB laboratory requirements and GB standards related to food/ dairy manufacturer environmental monitoring.
  • Review and update QC procedures and forms against the regulatory changes and operation changes.
  • Identify opportunities for QC improvements. Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
  • Reviewing all test results, test reports, QC records and responsible for the accuracy of QC issued document.
  • Liaise with 3rd party laboratories.
  • Manage all quality related verification and validation from planning to reporting.
  • Retention sample management.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and calibration for QC labs.
  • Manage purchasing of consumables, chemicals, and equipment. Maintaining lab inventories and record.
  • Cleaning and sanitation program management.
  • Manage Out Of Specification (OOS) and deviation investigations, identify root cause, CAPAs and completion in a timely manner.
Assisting with QA, production, and other relevant team in all aspects of the QC team.
  • Manage all chemicals in the lab to control the cross-contamination risks between QC labs and production areas.
  • Provide appropriate training and education to QC team members.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Fluent in written and verbal Mandarin, as well as a good command of English.
  • You will have a relevant tertiary degree in food engineering, food science, microbiology, chemistry or similar.
  • A minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Control role in a food production/manufacturing. Infant Formula highly advantageous.
  • Managing or supervising a technical team
  • Identified, manage, and deliver QC and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO17025, Quality management systems and HACCP.
  • Knowledge of Chinese GB standards preferable.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing processes.
