THE ROLE
As a Senior Quality Control Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet and exceed the highest quality standards. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring our raw, manufactured, and finished products are quality checked in line with our established procedures. You will assist in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and work closely with the chemists in their day-to-day operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain processes required for ISO accreditation
- Calibration of lab equipment as per ISO requirements
- Maintain and update raw materials Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
- Provide technical support to production team
- Conduct Quality Control testing of surface coatings and specialty coatings to ensure correct product parameters are accurately achieved (across raw, partially manufactured, and finished products)
- Conduct internal audits of testing equipment
- Continuously improving and implementing testing systems
- Actively pursue training and other development opportunities to maintain and enhance relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills relevant to the job.
- Adhere to quality assurance policies and procedures
- Participate in updating and drafting Standard Operating Procedures and other Quality Control policies and procedures
- Operation of computer software
- Preparation of Quality Control reports
- 5 or more years exposure in a laboratory & manufacturing environment
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Skills and/or Techniques
- Proven literacy and numeracy ability
- Able to demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy in all output.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Experience in laboratory procedure in painting manufacturing environment would be highly regarded
