They are a specialist consultancy for construction and infrastructure development projects throughout Australia. This is a unique opportunity to join their steadily growing Adelaide team.
About The Role
My client is seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their Adelaide team. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of quantity surveying tasks such as estimating, planning, cost management, monitoring costs, and providing accurate and timely financial reports. You will also leverage your financial expertise to maximise value for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with clients, architects, and main contractors
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Developing master-plan and feasibility budgets
- Conducting cost checks on evolving designs
- Implementing value engineering principles
- Evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts
- Managing cash flow projections
- Handling procurement processes
- Providing cost reporting and analysis
- Assessing variations and preparing valuations
- Managing final accounts and claims
- Performing investment analysis
- Establishing bench marking processes for cost models and plans improvement
The right candidate must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction
- Proficiency in cost estimating and planning software, such as Cost X
- Proven track record of successfully managing major civil infrastructure projects
