The Opportunity
Your role will play a crucial role in the department; leading and developing staff, providing exceptional radiology services, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.
- Develop, train and mentor staff; radiographers, sonographers, consultants, trainees and registrars undergoing the accreditation process.
- Interpret and report on medical imaging tests including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, and other radiological procedures.
- Provide expert consultation to referring physicians regarding the appropriate use and interpretation of imaging studies.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to determine the best course of action for patient treatment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of practice in radiology.
- Medical degree and fellowship (RANZCR) accreditation in radiology.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a practicing radiologist.
- Proven track record of leadership and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
