About the role

Your new role will see you being part of the Inland Rail Victoria project as Senior Rail Project Engineer. This project that will run through till early 2025.
The Inland Rail project is in partnership with the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) and will focus on enabling double-stacked freight trains to operate between Brisbane and Melbourne.
Actively and accurately define scopes of work and highlight any discrepancies through the execution of project activities, preparation of RFQ documents or on-going monitoring of works for the duration of the project.
Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, cost control and quality control functions for all activities at site.
Be responsible for work packages from tendering phase to final Quality Assurance completion and plan for defects liability period requirements.
About you

Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering with specific experience delivering rail projects.
Specialist experience in project engineering and a working knowledge of project management.
Previous experience managing budgets relating to construction activities.
Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines.
Extensive experience in project engineering with project management knowledge and understanding with experience in a Rail Construction / Engineering environment.
Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others.
