Senior Regional Manager Kimberley
We're on the lookout for a forward thinking, people, and safety leader with extensive experience in the energy sector, power systems and network operations, who will be a visible leader across our Kimberley operational areas.

With the option to live in either Kununurra, surrounded by a host of cultural and environmental wonders, or Broome, with the backdrop of the Dampier Peninsula and beautiful coastline, the role of the Senior Regional Manager - Kimberley will provide effective leadership to ensure team members are developed, engaged and empowered to deliver successful business outcomes, and see you immersed in the community, playing a visible role in ensuring that the customers within the vast Kimberley region, have reliable and efficient power supply.

This role will join an experienced and passionate team of over 30 individuals who are deeply connected to their communities, and will play a pivotal role in optimising our energy assets, identifying efficiencies, leading projects and sustained progress towards best practice asset management, using technology to modernize our operations.

You will bring safety felt leadership, through consistent and visible leadership behaviours to demonstrate that Horizon Power is all about safety for our people, our customers and our communities, and ensure that safety, health and wellbeing practices are adhered to at all times to create a safer working environment.

This is a permanent Full-time position and offer up to $50K in regional allowances.

Your role will include:

  • Managing the Kimberley operations team to optimise operation of our energy assets, improve safety and achieve efficiencies in line with customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Developing and managing own staff, foster talent and drive productivity.
  • Providing leadership in corporate initiatives and stakeholder management.
  • Achieving results with Operating and Capital Budgets.
  • Leading sustained progress towards organisational best practice asset management using digital tools.
  • Delivering projects and integrate new assets.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience working in a utility operation environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Asset management, safety, health and environmental systems, policies, and practices, power systems covering networks operations, customer and Stakeholder interface practices, business management and reporting systems, contract and Financial Management Process and delivery of minor capital works.
  • Understanding of regulated environment implications
  • Demonstrated experience building effective relationships with government, industry, and related industry to support the achievement of business goals.
  • Management of interconnected and non-interconnected electricity systems
  • Management of a works delivery function including major capital projects
  • Experience in leading large geographically dispersed teams.
