As an Australian Defence Force partner, Ventia works across some of Australia's newest, most unique equipment including artillery, small arms, instruments, night vision equipment, high-tech armoured vehicles, personnel carriers, and propulsion equipment.We are seeking a Senior Regional Planner to join the team on Ventia's combined Defence maintenance facility located in Puckapunyal defence base, located 10km west of Seymour.This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday (12pm finishes on Fridays) with an attractive salary of 110-115k inclusive of super.Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for planning of maintenance activities, ensuring effective, efficient, and best practice resourcing, progress monitoring and performance assessment and reporting.Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for leading and coordinating of planning functions and site planning with an understanding of regional capacity.
- Resolve any issues associated with the planning expectations of the Commonwealth.
- Liaise with Planners to effect changes in scheduling to meet customer requirements.
- Provide feedback to Commonwealth Personnel on the progress of scheduled maintenance programs.
- Contributing to collaborative innovation by identifying continuous improvement initiatives and analysing and recommending improvements to current Ventia and Defence maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated at least three years' experience in conducting planning and scheduling activities within a complex maintenance environment, including working with trade staff, coordinating repair parts and other resources.
- Demonstrated experience in managing customer service and customer expectations.
- Defence experience highly desirable.
- Good problem-solving skills, writing and analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
