Position: Senior Registered Nurse

Location: General Practice Clinic, Nedlands, Western Australia

Are you a seasoned healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare environment? Our General Practice Clinic, located in  Nedlands, Western Australia, has been operating since 2019. We have outgrown our current building and are busy setting up a bigger clinic so we can continue to serve our community the best way we can. This growth offers an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team. As a cornerstone of our clinic's healthcare delivery, you will play a pivotal role in providing exemplary patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.

Role start date August 2024.

Remuneration based on experience and qualifications.

Hours negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.

2. Clinical Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

3. Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care activities, including appointments, referrals, and follow-ups, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

4. Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including triage, health promotion, and disease prevention activities.

5. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, treatment plans, and preventive measures.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.

7. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits, peer reviews, and clinical governance processes.

Requirements:

1. Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.

2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting desirable, with demonstrated experience working within a general practice environment essential.

3. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and excellence.

4. Clinical Competence: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in complex healthcare scenarios.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

6. Flexibility: Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.

7. Commitment to Quality: Dedication to maintaining high standards of care, patient safety, and clinical governance, with a proactive approach to quality improvement initiatives.

8. Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning, staying abreast of latest evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
