Job description

Let's talk about who we are
The nib Group has a mission and vision of people enjoying better health. Through our success, we aspire to more prosperous and sustainable communities, not only the creation of enterprise value. nib is a trusted health partner, helping members and travellers make more informed healthcare decisions, transact with healthcare systems and generally live healthier lives.

We're looking for people who share this passion and want to be a part of a team that has the appetite and ambition to be extraordinary. Extraordinary comes in different perspectives and experiences. We're committed to an environment where everyone has the autonomy and freedom to be their authentic selves, every day.

Let's talk about diversity, equity and inclusion
We embrace a flexible working environment and welcome candidates that reflect the diversity of the communities in which we operate. We actively encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people living with disability, LGBTQIA+ as well as culturally diverse community members to apply for open roles.

nib Group is committed to creating an accessible recruitment process and employment experience. If you identify as a person living with disability and require adjustments to our online application, recruitment, selection and/or assessment process, or would like this advertisement in an alternative format, please contact us at nibemployment @ nib.com.au.

Let's talk about this role
This is 12 month Fixed Term Contract as the Senior Regulatory Project Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of key Regulatory Projects and their defined benefits to nib.

Working with multiple stakeholders across nib businesses and shared service teams, the Senior Regulatory Project Manager is responsible for leading a collaborative planning process and project delivery for a number of concurrent regulatory change projects including CPS 230 (Operational Risk) and the Financial Accountability Regime.

You will work with business and technical teams to facilitate project delivery and ensure alignment of project objectives, proactive risk management, identification of cross stream dependencies, unblocking day to day issues and ensuring effective governance. Additionally, you will perform task work, focused on managing schedule, stakeholder communications, change, financials (cost and benefits) and Group reporting.

The required leadership style is flexible and collaborative to support delivery to the agreed level of quality and performance. Equally the role is about providing the delivery teams clarity of purpose and maximising their output through coaching, supporting, leading and following.

Let's talk about you
To excel in this role you will have strong capability in communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders to garner support and alignment and are able to articulate complex subjects in a verbal or written manner that is understandable to a non-technical audience.

Ideally you will also have experience in managing regulatory type projects, including APRA Standards. You have experience leading and delivering agile projects, able to turn principles into practices for the team's specific needs.

Furthermore, we're looking for:

  • Track record of successful project delivery using different methodologies
  • Strong problem solving skills, with an ability to deal with ambiguity and challenge current practices and assumptions, making decisions with imperfect information
  • A track record of risk partnership, leveraging expertise to add value and insights and bringing teams together to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively prepare Senior Risk Committee and Board reports
  • Ability to travel to other nib offices, as required for stakeholder engagement and project activities

At nib, we recognise that some people may only apply when their education, skills and/or experiences are identical to what an employer is looking for in a candidate. We're always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture at nib Group - so if this role resonates with you, please apply!
