The Role Fantastic opportunity for a Senior Remedial Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering consultancy focusing on remedial, façade and structural engineering. An exciting business needs a hand on, motivated person to join their friendly team—an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking company developing innovative ideas. The role reports to the Projects Team Leader, and this position will work across a wide range of projects in the commercial, public and strata sectors. The Responsibilities Building and maintaining strong client relationships across all projects and all stages Site investigation, diagnosis of building defects, expert witness reporting, general building defect inspections Preparing technical reports, technical specifications and contract documentation Managing and directing project teams and budgets Manage projects on site and inspect construction works Supervise contractors and site managers for remedial projects Attend site meetings with clients and contractors Oversee a small team of Junior Engineers, providing coaching and direction, and approving work The Requirements Completed an engineering, building or construction project management degree, or have considerable experience in the construction industry and be prepared to undertake further study if required.Tertiary qualified civil/structural engineering degree preferred 5 years of industry experience Strong knowledge of building construction and materials Remedial building industry experience essential Knowledge of DBPA, waterproofing systems Proficient in Microsoft Office essential Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills and attention to detail are essential for handling multiple projects simultaneously.
