- Conduct research and development (planning, execution, and interpretation) on therapeutic antibody discovery projects.
- General molecular biology (e.g. PCR, DNA purification and analysis, vector design, DNA cloning)
- DNA and protein sequence analysis
- Design and execution of antibody discovery and optimization campaigns in-house and in collaboration with partners and CROs.
- Design of semisynthetic display libraries
- Generation and screening of immune libraries
- Design of different formats of antibodies (scFv, Fabs, multispecifics)
- Optimise antibody attributes for potency, developability and immunogenicity!
- Development and use of biochemical assays for screening antibody and recombinant protein function (e.g. SPR, ELISA and other immunoassays or screening technologies)
- Use automation to support antibody production, purification, and screening!
- Identify and implement new antibody optimisation technologies and other platform improvements as the need arises!
- Expertise in collecting, analysing, interpreting data, and making recommendations to key stakeholders through clear and concise oral and written communication.
- Record keeping and maintaining detailed, accurate electronic laboratory notebooks that support data driven decision making, generation of IND submission quality reports.
- Efficient collaboration wit
- Mentoring of peers and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
- Provide regular updates in the form of presentation and reports to the discovery project team.
- Managing projects with contract research organisations
- Presenting work regularly at internal meetings
- Work hand in hand with other teams including cell-based assays, protein generation, CMC, and pre-clinical pharmacology to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Compliance with all employee health and safety, PC2 and gene technology guidelines including adherence to TEVA policies and procedures.
- Corporate citizenship, including serving on in-house committees.
