Job description

We currently have a full time permanent opportunity available within our Signal Engineering Commissioning and Reliability team in the role of Senior Signal Systems Engineer.
The role is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance and reliability strategies, creating and managing reliability models (including RCM models), identifying asset reliability and availability improvement opportunities, and improving equipment maintenance regimes.
You will also be carrying out detailed root cause analysis (RCA) of complex, repetitive failures, and identify and implement actions to prevent recurrence and improvements on equipment.

Role overview:
  • Develop, update and implement key maintenance and reliability strategies and frameworks, ensuring alignment with other corporate frameworks.
  • Scope and prioritise opportunities for reliability improvement, implement required actions, and provide regular reports.
  • Investigate, develop and submit robust business cases for reliability and maintenance initiatives.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and direction to external stakeholders and team members to ensure the optimal reliability and maintainability of the South East Queensland mechanical and electrical signalling equipment.
What you will bring:
  • General engineering background as there will be opportunity for upskilling and development within our signalling systems.
  • Background performing RCA and RCM for a large operational business would be favourable for this role.
  • High level of skill in leading, developing and managing the technical aspects of signalling or similar projects specifically providing engineering solutions.
  • Skill and knowledge in developing and implementing standards and procedures for systems and processes.
  • Be self-motivated and innovative in progressing responsibilities without direct supervision.
  • High level of skill in delivering commercial advantage and outcomes through business improvements, technology development and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering tertiary degree at the time of application that is issued from an accredited tertiary provider or business accepted equivalent that has been assessed by Engineer Australia.
  • Current National Drivers Licence.
