Senior Software Apps Architect

Summary

The Software Development Manager will be responsible for delivering games within timelines and expected quality, following AW4SW (Aristocrat Ways for Software). The person will provide technical and people management leadership to the team of Developers.

The software development manager will work closely with all Studio leadership in Australia and India to work on both Strategic and Tactical levels while guiding the development of Projects throughout their production life cycle.

What You'll Do

Lead the development effort while coordinating with various stakeholders like Project Manager, Creative Leads, Engineering and Test Leads across India and Australia.
Setup development and quality processes. Regularly monitor and improve the timeliness, productivity, and quality of deliverables.
Participate in planning activities - Identify dependencies and follow up to their resolution. Identify and raise risks in a timely manner and take necessary action to mitigate the same.
Ensure timely deliveries with agreed quality of all the tasks undertaken by the team.
Responsible for people management aspects of the team - Provide feedback and coaching to team members through regular communication and performance appraisals to maintain a culture of high-performance energetic team.
Identify Training needs of the team and to execute the training plan to constantly enhance the skill levels of the team.
Participate in Hiring and onboarding of new members of the team.
Work with Sr. Management to accomplish business goals.
 

What We're Looking For

Minimum 10+ years’ experience; At least 3 years’ experience in technical leadership role.

Expertise in the full software/project life cycle, including specifications, requirements analysis, design/architecture, implementation, testing, and maintenance

Experience with SVN/Perforce or other configuration management systems

Good Experience on build automation using Bamboo and other related tools.

Good Experience on code quality and code coverage tools.

Good Experience on JIRA or other defect tracking system

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
