Form of workQuickli is on the lookout for a Senior Engineer with a strong blend of technical prowess and leadership skills. The right candidate will bring a proven track record in startup environments, demonstrating adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine passion for technology. This role demands a hands-on approach to coding, alongside guiding the team and shaping our technical strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development of our Next.js application across the full stack, overseeing more than feature builds, but broader enhancements from architecture, security, and the data layer to frontend performance and DX improvements.
- You need to excel in hands-on development and strategic technical planning, leading by example with rapid prototyping and thoughtful approach to system design.
- Help mentor and nurture the engineering team's growth, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence in every aspect of development.
- Actively contribute to team expansion by identifying talent needs, participating in the hiring process, and attracting high-calibre professionals to support Quickli’s growth.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration across our split Sydney / Philippines engineering team, fostering a unified strategy and leveraging the unique strengths of our global team.
What We Want To See:
- Demonstrated experience thriving in startup environments, having a hand in taking products from ideas to successes.
- Hands-on coding experience with a strong emphasis on React, NodeJs, TypeScript, and serverless computing, with a solid grasp of security.
- You don’t need a degree, you just need to be a good software developer.
- Preferred experience working with offshore engineering teams (+1 for PH based teams).
- Preferred experience creating exceptional user experiences, with some project examples that highlight your focus on UX.
