The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with relevant experience to join the Data Science Team in Sydney. The role is primarily focused on the development of DroneShield’s RfAI projects.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
Design, develop and deploy software with focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability
Architect software modules for embedded microservices
Support ML/AI engineers in productionising inference pipelines
Build and maintain infrastructure toolsets and deployment pipelines
Collaborate closely with other engineers and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
Assist the software/hardware development teams to make informed decisions about the future direction of complex deployed system design
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience
Proficiency in Python and knowledge of C++
Test Driven Development (TDD) attitude
Familiarity with Linux and containerisation
Experience developing software to support Data Science workflows is highly favourable
Experience with real-time or embedded software systems is favourable
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with engineers from non-software / Data Science backgrounds
