Form of work As a Software Engineer at Sportsbet, you will take ownership of development, problem resolution and domain modelling, all while using event driven architecture. You will work together with a dedicated team to solve issues and deliver solutions. You will also be responsible for testing, monitoring and maintaining operations & performance of these solutions. You will be working with the latest technologies within a super talented team to build platforms that deliver amazing customer experiences.

The role
You are self-starting and passionate about working with our stakeholders in an agile environment to build and deliver quality, secure & highly performant API’s and applications.
You can BE BOLD and lead with experimentation with fast feedback loops.
This role ensures our platforms continually meet the current and future needs of Sportsbet.
Key Responsibilities:
5+ years of experience in software development languages and frameworks, such as but not limited to Java 8+, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices architecture and AWS
Experience in developing AWS cloud services and understanding design for scalability, performance and reliability
Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins
Experience in software engineering practices, application security and developing highly scalable applications
Experience with Docker and managing a container based micro-service architecture
A strong focus on unit testing, integration testing and automation
Willing to adapt, mentor & share knowledge within & across functional practices
Passion for putting the customer at the heart of every decision
