About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong experience working with C++ experience and a keen interest in synthetic and simulation environments, to join our Infinite Studio team.
Infinite Studio is Aurizn's Flagship Simulation Product - It provides real-time multispectral 3D simulations and radiometrically-credible synthetic imagery to support research, development, simulation and the analysis of electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) systems.
As a member of the Software Engineering team, you will provide leadership, management and support to the Infinite Studio development team and its projects. You’ll be working closely with our clients to further develop the core capability and enhance Aurizn’s reputation as a leader in providing cutting-edge technology solutions.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing management and technical support on a range of company projects, including on a consulting basis with clients.
- Developing and reviewing artefacts (specifications, models, design documentation, software code, build scripts, test documentation, etc) corresponding to the systems/software lifecycle.
- Providing Software Engineering support in all phases of the software development lifecycle on a range of platforms using a range of technologies, lifecycles, methodologies and languages.
- Assisting with project planning and estimation.
- Helping ensure that project schedule, quality and cost objectives are met.
- Providing effective leadership and management of project technical solutions (where appropriate).
- Representing Aurizn with clients at all levels and maintaining a positive and professional relationship across Industry.
- Working cross-functionally to support business development activities through identification and pursuit of opportunities, customer meetings, and bid/proposal preparations.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Must be an Australian citizen and and hold an NV1 clearance.
- Knowledge of diverse software development principles, covering concurrency, design patterns and performance profiling and tuning.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Strong experience writing, implementing and maintaining efficient code based on specifications.
- Possess the ability to perform code reviews, verify and deploy software (releases).
- The ability to work in an agile environment and execute scrum methodologies.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages and version control tools.
- Software and hardware integration experience.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading a small team is desirable.
