We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join the Oz Games Studio SIT Team. In this role you will be an integral part of the Oz Games Studio SIT Team, demonstrating technical leadership and delivering great results to the Oz Games Studio product portfolio. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality product to meet Integrity, Compliance and Integration requirements. The Senior Software Test Engineer is an important member of the project team, working closely with the development team to build a solid understanding of the product architecture. You will work as and/or with the Test Lead to define the test strategy for the product family, and create, allocate and execute test plans that align to the test strategy and the overarching testing framework.
What You'll Do- Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and development team to ensure the testing strategy is an integral part of the development process and optimised to meet our high quality standards
- Analyse and understand the product architecture and commercial requirements, and build Integrity test plans with clear objectives and test scenarios that will validate that the needs of the player and operator have been met;
- Drive your learning journey to build a solid understanding of the regulatory requirements applicable to the products you are testing;
- Build Compliance test plans that will ensure that the design and implementation of new game mechanics and features does not breach applicable regulations;
- Create Integration test plans that will ensure that new game mechanics integrate well with the technology that supports them including platforms, cabinet hardware/firmware, common code libraries and external systems;
- Provide good test traceability, and demonstrate sound and logical reasoning when raising issues to the development team
- Leverage appropriate testing tools and techniques, and use initiative to combine and improve testing techniques to optimise efficiency and meet our high quality standards
- Provide training and mentoring to other testers working with you on your projects, ensuring that they are allocated work that will continue to stretch and grow them, and providing the appropriate level of shadowing and oversight to ensure the integrity of their work.
- Support SIT Management and all testers in the Oz SIT team with effective communication and knowledge sharing to improve overall SIT process efficiency
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science/Electronics or similar
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Software development and/or testing, including product testing experience.
- Prior experience in the land-based gaming industry is preferred, or experience in a closely related gaming field.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Microsoft Office, Jira, Linux OS, Windows OS, C++, C#, scripting and/or automation tools will be highly regarded.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with global stakeholders and interpret gaming regulations.
- Ability to navigate changing business priorities and be flexible, adapting to support the business as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with development teams to customise testing approach in accordance with product scope and status.
- Must possess good analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
