Senior Solution Architect

SENIOR SOLUTION ARCHITECT
This position will part of Cohesive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bentley Systems.
Location: Melbourne, Sydney (Hybrid based)
Position Summary:
The Senior Solution Architect works closely with our Senior Consultants to develop the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem. They are responsible for the design of the infrastructure, core platform, applications and services for the solution to meet client requirements.
The Senior Solution Architect manages the integration of information and visualisation platforms that are a key component of our service to support asset owning clients with the development of infrastructure and building digital twins.
Senior Solution Architects work across a range of projects both complex and simple and is key to the technical design, delivery and implementation of new and exciting solutions.
Your Day-to-Day / Responsibilities:

• Client Needs

• Manages the discovery, capture and documentation of client needs
• Take ownership of client needs throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure that these are met
• Design & Technical Architecture

• Take ownership of all high-level and low-level architecture activities to help support client initiatives
• Provide architecture/design leadership and oversight for all detailed design activities acting as the Design Authority for client solution(s)
• Contribute to continual improvement of architectural approach within Cohesive and maintenance of architecture standards
• Solution Development & Delivery

• Support the solutions architecture team ensuring solutions are delivered successfully at both the infrastructure and application level
• Provide support to Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) activities to ensure that solutions are effectively released and deployed
• Mentor and guide junior members of the solutions architecture team

What You Bring to The Team:

• Qualifications

• Degree and / or Higher National qualifications related to Computer Science/Software Engineering as well as relevant professional qualification(s)
• Member, or working towards membership, of a related industry recognised professional body
• Desirable: (Input desirable qualifications if applicable)

• Knowledge / Experience

• 7+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect
• Extensive IT experience including experience in Solution Architecture or Systems/Technical architecture, and experience in systems integration/client solution implementation using both open source and COTS solutions
• Proven experience of architecting solutions in Azure Cloud and Kubernetes
• Experience of architecting and migrating to a Microservices architectures
• Experienced in building data solutions
• Excellent technical skills and experience of implementing Cloud based solutions
• Excellent knowledge of IT Development/Delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Agile and ITIL
• Knowledge of Data architectures and data modelling and GIS systems and standards
• Experienced problem-solver, capable of efficiently providing complex solutions and working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Experience leading projects to meet governance requirements
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work at all levels of design conceptually, logically and physically when required

• Experience of working within or delivering technology solutions to organisations operating in the Built Environment
• Background in software development (particularly Java)
• TOGAF Certified
