Job Description:How will I help?This
Senior Solution Designer role will sit within Treasury Technology. This team is responsible for responding to APRA regulatory changes by uplifting business rules implementation, and uplifting controls and process optimisation throughout the End-to-End Interest Rate and Liquidity Risk process.The application team and project require an increase in technical leadership to oversee the solution design and development/test team in the Group Treasury database, batch processing and reporting space. Responsible for the implementation of quality and operational reliable solutions to complex Business Data requirements in both major project and ongoing continuous improvements.This role must be based in Sydney and requires attending the office twice a week.
Responsibilities will include:- Provide expert technical direction in Database and Batch processing to team members, covering all aspects of the system within the sub-domain.
- Ensure that applications are designed and developed to a high standard, focused on the customer requirement, but also Operational suitability.
- Drive improvement, enhancement, and upgrade by looking for opportunities within project and/or BAU.
- Lead the diagnosis and root-cause analysis of complex problems, by employing a strong eye for detail and troubleshooting skills.
- Lead and influence the technical activities across the Software Development Lifecycle within Agile projects.
- Participate in sprint planning, with a keen eye for detail of critical path delivery through the various milestones to Production.
- Provide leadership to a small, professional team of technical specialists in teams of diversely located resources.
- Develop relationships with other Technical Leads in the broader team to gain insights and share experiences.
- Develop strong relationship with Scrum Master to become leadership team in the overall team.

What do I need?To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 7+ years' experience within the IT Industry, specialising in Database development.
- 4+ years' experience leading small technical teams of Database Developers.
- Experience in Agile Teams, who have had DevOps responsibilities.
- Treasury experience highly desired, particularly in areas of Interest Rate Risk or Liquidity Risk.
- Mandatory - SQL Server / SSIS strong solution design and leadership experience. Dev Ops toolsets, and experience managing code base.
- Desirable (but not mandatory) - Qlik / QRM.
