Medical Imaging Services
Ongoing and fixed vacancies in Darwin, Palmerston and/or KatherineSeveral vacancies may be offered on an ongoing or fixed basis working in Darwin, Palmerston and/or Katherine.The Medial Imaging Department operates 24-hours and provides emergency, intra-operative and general x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRO, nuclear medicine, mammography relief, fluoroscopy, angiography and cardiac angiography.As a Senior Sonographer, your primary objective is to provide high quality diagnostic ultrasound services to Royal Darwin Hospital, Palmerston Hospital, and Katherine Hospital, Top End Health Regional Service clinics, community health centres and private referrers as requested.Working with a team of medial professional and modern equipment, you will perform advanced ultrasound examinations; identify complex or unusual pathology, variants or artefacts, to ensure the most appropriate high quality imaging are performed.To be successful you require a recognised Medical Ultrasound qualification with eligibility for registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Register (ASAR), demonstrated experience in various fields of sonography and the ability to provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to junior sonographers.We understand the challenges in the Territory's health and community care are unlike anywhere else, but so are the opportunities;Up to 7 weeks recreational leave (6 weeks annual, 3 day Xmas shut down and up to 5 days shift leave)
