Valuing teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, our client is currently seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their team due to business growth.
Your new role
As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design of structural solutions for clients in the mining, ports, and resources sectors.
- Lead and manage the design and analysis of complex structural projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Perform structural assessments, feasibility studies, and risk evaluations to inform decision-making processes.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure the company's designs are at the forefront of engineering excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Structural Engineer you will either hold your CPEng, or be actively working towards this. You will be technically strong with proficiency in structural analysis and design software. Ideally, you will be able to work on both the technical side and oversee and deliver projects, but they are open on this. They work predominantly in the mining and resources industry with Tier 1 clients, so experience in and an interest in this sector is highly desirable.
You will be a problem solver who enjoys calculations and setting up models. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
