Senior Substation Engineers & Designers - Primary & Secondary

In these pivotal roles, you will:

• Spearhead the design of 66kV and above substations, overseeing layout, equipment selection, and material choices for optimal performance.
• Conduct intricate electrical calculations including load flow, fault levels, and protection coordination, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.
• Uphold the highest quality and safety standards by meticulously adhering to national and international regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams of experts, driving integrated solutions from conception to successful commissioning.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and expertise.

To excel in this role, you possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with a proven track record in primary design for 66kV substations and above!.
• In-depth proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, and PSS/E.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical theory and applicable standards, including IEC 61850 and ANSI.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to connect seamlessly with colleagues across disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple projects concurrently with finesse.
• Austraalian Standards: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Australian Standards relating to HV substation design
• Thorough understanding of Australian Standards for HV substation design
• Experience with Power Utilities in Australia
• Familiarity with Civil and Structural requirements for HV substations
• Proficiency in substation construction & commissioning
• Understanding of transmission cable / line design
• Experience in substation earthing systems design, lighting, transformers, switchgear, etc.
