As the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and managing internal and external sourcing and recruitment-related activities with a key focus on our pipeline programs (Apprenticeship and internship programs) for the Qantas Group Engineering portfolio. You will draw on your extensive recruitment experience to identify effective recruitment strategies, including proactively seeking networking opportunities across multiple avenues such as Career Expos, trade and higher education information sessions as well as relevant industry forums and organisations.

The candidate will be front of mind to ensure a positive candidate experience that provides an effective, efficient and fair process that reinforces our organisation's employment brand. Your candidate ideas and improvement strategies will be welcomed ideas in our team strategy meetings Building relationships with business partners and stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Head of HR, Business Unit Leaders and Senior Executives will be an essential requirement of this role whilst maintaining a positive 'can-do' attitude and being persistent in delivering a leading, cost effective service to the Qantas Group.

As the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a significant role in coaching, guiding and supporting our recruiter’s on effective processes and the use of Workday functionality to ensure team success! This role is ideal for a Talent Acquisition Specialist or equivalent who is ready to step up into a more strategic role within an internal recruitment function.

You’ll have:
5+ years relevant professional experience in Talent Acquisition managing recruitment strategies across a variety of portfolios in a large and complex organisation

Experience leading /mentoring a small team to successful outcomes

The ability to project manage large recruitment campaigns/transformations to ensure we meet recruitment deadlines

A strategic mindset, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement

A natural confidence to present in front of large groups who may be both internal and external to Qantas

Ability to adopt a positive and flexible approach to change and be comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Good problem-solving capability and ability to exercise sound judgment, exploring innovative approaches to sourcing strategies

Strong influencing skills with the ability to advise stakeholders in a trusted manner at all levels when required

Proven experience in talent pooling, headhunting and networking within the relevant Talent community is key to this role
