The Opportunity:

As a leader within our team, you will drive the provision of expert tax advice to our clients and the wider Boyce team. Your primary focus will be helping clients effectively plan, structure, and manage their Australian income tax obligations and mentoring and helping develop the Boyce team. 

You will play a pivotal role in providing expert tax advice to a diverse range of clients. You will focus on Tax Advisory, engaging in research and interpreting tax law to provide well-reasoned, practical solutions that meet our clients' needs. The role requires a strong knowledge across all facets of Australian Taxation, and an ability to manage and provide advice on a range of strategic and compliance matters.

About you:  

This role would suit an individual who has previously held an Associate Director role equivalent (or above) and has extensive experience working within the Australian Taxation system. Specifically, we are looking for someone with:   

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Australian tax consulting within a reputable accounting firm, corporate, tax consulting or legal environment   
  • An advanced understanding of the Australian Taxation Framework and legislation and familiarity with accounting and tax considerations affecting SMEs across diverse industries and sectors.  
  • Strong understanding of Australian corporate tax compliance  
  • Inbound and outbound transaction consulting, tax planning, compliance, deal structuring, and post-acquisition planning experience  
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to develop relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service.  
  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts succinctly and clearly to clients and prepare high-quality client-ready deliverables.   
  • Extensive experience in public practice accountancy and Tax Advisory  
  • Completion of postgraduate training as a CA/CPA and active registration with the Tax Practitioners Board   
  • Experience managing projects and people.   
  • Strong organisation skills, and a high attention to detail to deliver impactful outcomes.  
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and develop high performing teams.  
  • A continuous improvement mindset, coupled with an eagerness to develop and lead learning and development sessions for Boyce team members.
