AddressOur client, a leading global engineering consultancy, is seeking a talented Senior to Associate Structural Engineer with water retaining structures experience to join their Water Utilities team in Adelaide. Key Responsibilities
- Drive the technical quality of water and wastewater infrastructure design projects
- Structural design development and delivery through the full project life cycle, ensuring high technical standards
- Produce and review concise, high-quality technical documentation
- Contribute to the design team, actively assisting colleagues in achieving improved client feedback, enhancing satisfaction, and exceeding expectations
- Assist in preparing and coordinating high-quality proposals and pursuits
- Support project management and design management across a range of projects
- Develop and mentor younger engineers
- Collaborate with a team on large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects and programs
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in a consultancy environment
- Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartered status
- Extensive experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and water retaining structures
- Experience in design management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and WSAA codes
- Proficiency in Civil 3D modelling software, 2D and 3D CADD software
- Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Capability to prepare successful proposals with accurate scope and budget
- Experience in developing and mentoring younger engineers
- Ability to submit high-quality technical reports with minimal corrections
- Experience in Design and Construction projects (advantageous)
