The Opportunity: 

Our Brisbane studio has an exciting opportunity for an Urban Design or Senior Urban Designer to join the team!

This is a pivotal role within our national Design team, where you will play a key role in the vision and master planning of significant city projects that the team undertakes daily. Our collaborative and high-skilled team of Urban Designers will draw on your creative and technical, production and design expertise to develop award-winning master plans and urban concepts that shape our city for a better future. 

Your collaborative and explorative approach, creative thinking, and desire to create great places through great design, will allow you to support our clients and foster strong relationships with the brightest minds of Urbis.

At Urbis, you will take part in shaping cities and communities, therefore a genuine enthusiasm for the pursuit of world class design, as well as advanced graphic, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

You will:

  • Work across a wide range of exciting urban design projects
  • Visually and creatively communicate key design concepts across a range of methods and platforms
  • Provide support to both the local and other regional Design teams in servicing client needs.
  • Provide a broad range of quality services including site analysis, project positioning, precinct and place visioning, urban frameworks and strategies, built form testing and site planning, master planning and design guidelines for place making projects.
  • Work efficiently and collaboratively alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Provide support to other team members in servicing project requirements.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an Urban Design practice.
  • 3+ to 5+ years relevant experience.
