Hatchd is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Experience Designer to join our team. You'll need to be a naturally curious and creative individual with a strong background in experience design, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As a senior Experience Designer at Hatchd, your scope of responsibility includes:

• A passion and desire to be a hands-on designer. 
• Plan and execute high-quality design projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.
• Produce wireframes and prototypes to facilitate user and customer testing.
• Conduct user research and validation to ensure designs meet user needs and business objectives.
• Manage feedback effectively and provide solutions that enhance the design process.
• Coach emerging designers and collaborate with the extended Hatchd team including developers, product managers and Q&A. 
• Adapt to changing project dynamics and think creatively to solve design challenges.
• Able to work autonomously by being aware of budgets and project timelines, and collaborate with product managers to align on broader project timelines and outcomes. 
• Provide input on improving existing tools and processes to help optimise workflow.
• Stay updated with the latest user trends and design tools to ensure solutions stay relevant.

• At least 5 years of digital product design experience, including web-based and native mobile applications.
• Proven experience with modern wireframing, design and user research tools.
• Experience working directly with clients or internal stakeholders.
• Experience in planning, executing, and reporting on user research and validation.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to manage feedback and find effective solutions.
• Experience collaborating with and coaching other designers or working within a team environment.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment and able to think on your feet.
• Passionate about hands-on design work and eager to improve existing processes.
• An appreciation for the commercial realities of projects.
• Some experience in visual / UI design is highly desirable.
• A degree in design or a related field may be beneficial but isn’t required - we believe design can be learned from all walks of life.
