About The Opportunity
There is a unique ability in this role to design, lead and implement education and training programs to support Shared and Corporate Services staff across South Western Sydney Local Health District.
The intention of this role is to provide targeted education and training for Shared and Corporate staff across the district with a focus on empowering them to achieve their personal best. This position works with Shared and Corporate Services Staff across SWSLHD.

What you'll be doing
The Senior Workforce Educator Corporate and Support Services works within the Education and Organisational Development Service (EODS) in SWSLHD The position leads the development, delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive non-clinical educational program including the development of educational pathways. The position coordinates and delivers training to Corporate & Support Services in the areas of, but not limited to human resources, finance, security, general services, procurement, administration, sterile services, ICT and Audit. The role facilitates learning and supports the development of healthcare professionals and supports safe and consistent patient/consumer care across all sites and services within SWSLHD. This will include contract management with external education providers and subject matter experts.
SWSLHD is recognised as a leading provider of education, training and organisational development initiatives to a health workforce of over 17,000 staff. Education and Organisational Development Service (EODS) supports the achievement of the LHDs strategic goals, with a focus on supporting our staff to positively transform how our patients, consumers, staff and communities experience our organisation and services.
The EODS consists of staff with expertise in clinical and non-clinical education and organisational development focused on the delivery of the EOD Operational Plan. The services programs and services focus on enabling a positive workplace culture, developing high performing teams and ensuring our work environment attracts and retains talent. The key portfolios within the department include Multidisciplinary Clinical Education and Development Unit, Corporate and Support Services Education and Development Unit, Learning Hub, Organisational Development, Culture and Diversity Unit and Future Workforce Support Unit. EODS works across SWSLHD and delivers services in line with our CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect, and Empowerment.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent work-based experience within the Corporate and Support Services sector. Has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or its successor (or TAE40110 plus the TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 units) and/or tertiary level post graduate qualification in adult education. * Demonstrated extensive experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of Corporate & Support Services education programs in a complex organisation, including contract management with external education providers
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external education providers and key stakeholders in the development, delivery, evaluation and return on investment of education and training within the corporate and support services profile.
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary education practices and modalities, and their application into teaching and education programs in a variety of settings and to multidisciplinary audiences
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with the multidisciplinary health care team, patients/carers and consumers and external stakeholders in order to inform decision making on education matters.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use and knowledge of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidence-based Corporate and Support Services education programs
  • Demonstrated sound organisational skills and the ability to be resourceful, proactive and flexible, to ensure successful management of competing demands.
