Our software enables the smooth flow of funds throughout a supply chain or network of buyers and sellers, from producer to end-consumer. 

About the role:

Spenda is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our Development department in Perth. You will be working with a strong and supportive team and as such you must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and plan project delivery  requirements with Team.
  • Collaborating with Front End Developers and User Experience designers and Architects.
  • Analysing project requirements and designing solutions and features.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, etc.
  • Testing code for bugs and implementing improvements and fixes.
  • Solving problems using logic and methodical testing processes.
  • Developing testing and validation processes.
  • Deploying code to the live environment.
  • Designing, coding, testing and installing applications programs up to 75% of the time, either in one major program or a range of programs across multiple platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance benchmarks.
  • Preparing and maintaining systems and program documentation.
  • Assisting in the analysis and design of applications programs and databases.
  • Modifying and troubleshooting applications programs.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for server-side components and APIs.
About You

The successful candidate will have outstanding organisational and communication skills. The ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a level of high attention to detail. Whilst previous experience in a similar position would be essential, equally as important will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science or another relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in Programming and Applications Design, with a minimum of 2 years of general IT experience
  • Proven experience as a C# developer with a focus on server-side development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with C# and some sort of SQL database. Can demonstrate solid understanding of C#
  • Must have experience with some form of source control
  • Strong proficiency with .NET Core and writing SQL queries
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and familiarity with Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, etc.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native application development principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people in an agile delivery team
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical members - especially remotely
  • Exceptional attention to detail 

Additional experience that would be preferred but not mandatory includes:

  • Be a champion for sharing a good understanding of the 4 values and 12 principles of The Agile Manifesto, through the continuous improvement of agile software processes and practices.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
