The Aged Care Services at CS#1 has a focus to support older and vulnerable people in our communities to experience a sense of wellbeing, choice and independence whilst living at home, to feel they are a valued member of the community and have access to quality services and care.

About the role:

We are seeking a Service Delivery Team Leader to lead, roster and supervise a team of professional home care support workers to deliver home and community Care Services.

Reporting to the Operations Director of Aged Care Services, the Team Leader is responsible for rostering, scheduling and allocating shifts in accordance with client preference, workforce availability and resources.

Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, care and clinical governance framework, Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and Care Finder programs.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Officers to champion high quality and safe practice supporting continuous improvement. The successful applicant will also lead, supervise and mentor their team to deliver quality outcomes for clients and build a strong and positive culture in line with our Purpose and Mission – Connecting people to enrich lives and provide services that enhance quality of life.

The Service Delivery Team Leader will have the support of the Executive and Operations Director of Aged Care Services, to guide and support the Aged Care Services executive program in line with the program's strategic direction and yearly KPIs.

  • Permanent full-time position (76 hours/fortnight, core hours are 9.00am to 5.06pm)
  • Annual salary from $93,860 to $98,108, commensurate with qualifications and experience, (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Service Award) plus superannuation and tax benefits to maximise take home pay
  • Free parking at Head Office, based in Narrabundah
  • Provision of a laptop

Qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma qualifications in relevant fields such as Management or Project Management or Business administration or equivalent qualification
  • Supervisory experience in aged or community care
  • Demonstrated experience supervising large operational service teams to deliver quality care to aged and vulnerable clients
  • Rostering and scheduling experience of large service teams
  • Experienced in using client/data management systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care reform agenda, Commonwealth Home Care Support Program, Home Care Packages and Care Finder Programs
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing teams to deliver high quality service, and creating a culture of continuous improvement and empowering teams and individuals to speak up when they see opportunity for improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including mentoring and consultative skills
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Have demonstrated communication skills to liaise with clients, community groups and agencies 
  • Have demonstrated experience with managing competing priorities to deliver on time effective outcomes

  • Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Proof of Australian work rights
  • Current drivers licence
