What?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative and dynamic team within our Canberra Office. The successful applicant will be welcomed under the guidance of our Operations Manager, Network Manager and Service Desk Coordinator.

We’re looking for a dedicated, detail oriented individual to join our dynamic work hard, play hard environment.

Responsibilities include

  •  Understand, uphold and execute all business policies and procedures.
  • Support clients within all SLA's timings and maintain communication throughout the entire process of incident management.
  • Work with third party vendors and software providers to maintain and resolve product issues for our clients’ systems.
  • Contribute and maintain a constantly growing knowledge base system for future incident management.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues on a range of systems.
  • Maintain a “can-do” approach with the entire team both as a mentor and as a mentee

What you will need to be successful?

  • Minimum 4-years experience working in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Positive, proactive, and hard-working person with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to prioritise work in a fast paced environment
  • Explementary communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team to achieve goals and meet deadlines
  • Valid Driver’s License

Any previous experience or exposure to the below, would be advantageous and highly regarded skills:

  • VMware virtualisation technologies
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP, UDP, DNS, etc)
  • Monitoring/Backup solutions
  • SQL systems and web technologies (PHP, ASP, etc.)
  • General best practice security principles
  • Microsoft Server Experience (2008 R2 – 2019)
  • A certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • ITIL certification
  • Level 2 Microsoft Server Service Management Experience (Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, IIS, etc.)
  • Understanding and capability in Linux Operating system
  • Understanding of Scripting fundamentals – Powershell, bash, Python
