The Service Technician is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and supporting installations of Martin products in the territory. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction by delivering the desired customer service experience to maximize customer retention and increase profitability.
- Travel to sites to provide onsite surveys or other support to the service and sales team, which might include the scope of upcoming installations and projects.
- Evaluate customers’ needs and provide cost-effective, value-added solutions as it relates to products and services.
- Creates travel plans and partakes in customer induction, and onboarding.
- Installation of Martin products to be performed as efficiently and safely as possible. May coordinate with subcontractors/casuals to complete the project.
- Pre-job coordination includes but is not limited to organizing tools, pre-job onsite surveys, parts, certificates, consumables, and other items that are required to go onsite.
- Communicates project status to supervisor, fellow workers, and customers on an ongoing basis.
- Completes work individually and works expeditiously to complete assigned projects in assigned territories as required.
- One to two years of job-related experience with a strong mechanical or conveyor maintenance background preferred
- Certifications such as boilermaker or certified welder required
- Some sales background would be beneficial.
