We have several vacancies now available for Qualified Service Technicians and Workshop Foremen to join our team at Caloundra Mazda commencing in March 2024. Technician responsibilities will include:
- Carry out vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as per repair order and to Vehicle Manufacturer, Dealership and Customer requirements.
- Escalate issues to the workshop controller promptly.
- Assist with daily workshop operational tasks.
- Assist in the training of apprentices.
- Correctly complete warranty repair in adherence to the manufacturer workshop manuals.
- Thoroughly inspect all vehicles prior to customer collection.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of all Dealership products and services.
- Return vehicles in a clean condition after repairs.
Foreman responsibilities will include:
- Distribution of daily jobs to Technicians.
- Manage deadlines, ensuring productivity targets are met.
- Act as the communication between workshop & front-line staff.
- Forward planning of the next day's workflow.
- Driving retail labour and CSI growth within the workshop.
What we are searching for:
- Light Vehicle Mechanic Qualification.
- Mazda experience is advantageous.
- Accreditation to work on electric vehicles.
- Used car reconditioning and roadworthy license are preferred.
- High level of personal commitment and focus.
- The ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously.
- Current and valid manual drivers' license is mandatory.
- Good eye for attention to detail.
- An ambition to succeed.
- A passion for the automotive industry.
