Our Cosmo mine site is located 160 km from Darwin City and we are focussed on rehabilitation of operations and exploration in the area.
About the role
The role is DIDO from Darwin, on a 7:7 roster. Servicepersons carry out a broad range of duties that involve maintaining site mobile fleet and fixed assets to a high standard, ensuring optimum operating performance.
Key role objectives:
- Assist fitters with scheduled maintenance on all equipment.
- Lubricate plant infrastructure.
- Actively participate in Take 5 and Job Hazard Analysis
- Complete service reports and identify part requirements
- Operate mobile equipment such as but not limited to forklifts, IT Loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Haul trucks, Graders and backhoe as required where appropriately experienced and licensed to do so
- Service and refuel equipment
- Other duties onsite as directed
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Experience in similar role working in mine or construction process
- Licences to operate mobile equipment such as forklift, IT Loader, EWP, Medium Rigid truck
- Valid NT “C” Class driver’s licence
- Mobile diesel equipment maintenance and repairs
- Experience in testing all aspects of mechanical equipment and documenting test results in report format is desirable.
- The ability to work unsupervised from time to time
- A great team work ethic
Pre-Employment:
All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance, pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.
