Sessional Reporter
DEPARTMENT OF PARLIAMENTARY SERVICES
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Hansard you will be responsible for providing a prompt and accurate report of the proceedings of the Victorian Parliament and committee hearings and other forums in line with editorial policy and guidelines. A reporter's duties include monitoring, transcribing, researching and editing material from chambers and committees. Travel may be required for regional committee hearings and collaborating on internal working groups for the development of Hansard systems. Reporters are responsible for updating and monitoring Hansard's production systems.
About you
To succeed in this role you have demonstrated decision-making and time management experience, and excellent grammar, strong transcribing and editing skills with an ability to coordinate people and tasks to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key to this role is your ability to develop and maintain professional relationships as is your ability to communicate tactfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
