Your role: We are recruiting a Registered Nurse who is able to work in our newly refurbished Richmond site on a permanent, part-time basis. Our new site at 678 Victoria Street, Richmond provides Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTOP) and Contraceptive services. This vacancy is for an Enrolled or Registered to join our small team structure of 1x Registered Nurse or ANUM, 1x Doctor, and 1x Medical Administrative Assistant. The required hours of work are 8am - 4pm, usually on Wednesday and Friday. There may be an expectation to occasionally work at our surgical center based in St Kilda, depending on staffing levels across our clinics.
Your purpose: to provide safe, high quality client-centred care in our clinics. Working within a team of highly experienced sexual health nurses, you will work together to meet to goals and unique needs of our clients. You will provide education and clinical care as well as assisting in managing plans of care on ongoing support to our clients after discharge.
Your Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring high quality and empathetic nursing care to patients are in line with internal policies and procedures and best practice to ensure the best patient experience possible is achieved.
- Supporting the clinical team to provide a high level of client care throughout their journey with us.
- Reflectively engage in continuous improvement and support the achievement of targets relating to client care.
- A pro-choice advocate
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
- Previous experience in Sexual & Reproductive Health
- Knowledge of National Accreditation Standards and ACORN standards
- Understand the importance of quality processes
- Willingness to learn with a non-judgmental attitude
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to actively encourage a positive team culture including provision of excellent customer service
- Experience of achieving high standards with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
