Sheetmetal Apprentice - 1st Year

OSMAC Apprenticeships has an opportunity for a reliable and motivated 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Apprentice to commence/continue their career as a Aluminum Sheetmetal Apprentice, in the Cairns region.  You will be working with a family owned and operated business.

Our client is looking to bring on their anther apprentice, due to progression of their continued and ongoing work. The successful candidate must have the passion and be eager to learn all aspects of the Aluminum Sheetmetal Trade.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will see the successful candidate join a cohesive and welcoming team, alongside tradesmen who are more than happy to share their knowledge.

The work will primarily involve fabrication and welding of Aluminum products for the automotive and trucking industry, as well as other custom jobs when required. Great opportunity with a company that values the training of apprentices. Some site work involved. These guys are happy to train the right person with a brilliant attitude, so all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

• Able to retain information and have the right attitude towards work
• Be well-presented, punctual, reliable with a good attendance record 
• Current manual drivers’ licence and reliable car
• Sound mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be motivated and have a positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions including all processes and procedures
• Ability to work safely
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Live locally in the Cairns Region
