About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are looking for an experienced Shotfirer to join our tight-knit team in one of our key sites near Collinsville, QLD!
The positions are offered on an 7/7 roster. The roles offered are a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) role and camp facilities will be provided for the duration of the roster.
The successful candidate will assist in managing individual blasts to provide products and services to our customer and assist in providing a quality service of bulk explosives in a safe and environmentally conscious manner at all times.
What you will be doing
- Providing operational blasting knowledge and advice to our client blast crews and associated stakeholders;
- Shotfiring duties including magazine management, managing the loading, tying and firing of blasts, following drill and blast designs;
- Working in tight unison with your teammates to provide excellence in service to our valued customers;
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members;
- At all times acting with integrity and respect.
What you will bring
- Experience operating as a full shotfirer;
- Knowledge of explosive and storage regulations;
- Knowledge of blasting and blasting procedures;
- QLD Shotfirers Licence;
- Current Standard 11;
- Current HR licence (highly desirable);
- Hold a current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance;
- An impeccable safety record and commitment toward safety.
