Job description

Sport Integrity Australia operates across Australia using a casual workforce of experienced Doping Control Officers (APS3), Blood Collection Officers (APS2) and Chaperones (APS1), collectively known as Sample Collection Staff.
The key duties of the position include
Chaperone
A Chaperone is trained and accredited to carry out specific duties, including notification of an Athlete selected for Sample Collection, chaperoning/accompanying an Athlete and directly witnessing the passing of a urine sample.
Blood Collection Officer (BCO)
A Blood Collection Officer should hold qualifications in phlebotomy and/or be trained to collect blood and have the practical and current skills required to do so (i.e. Perform blood collection from a vein). BCOs will also be trained as either a Chaperone or DCO.
Doping Control Officer (DCO)
A DCO is trained and accredited by SIA for the on-site management of a Sample Collection session. The DCO has overall responsibility for the Sample Collection session which includes planning and managing Test Sessions, provision of test equipment, setting up the doping control station, providing direction at a Test Session to the Chaperones and BCOs, processing samples from Athletes, completing required reports and ensuring the secure transport of samples.
