Signwriter / Signage and vinyl installer

Sunset Signs is a successful signage company operating on Brisbane's Southside for over 45 years.

We have just moved into a great new facility in Yatala and we are keen to expand the team with some experienced sign people to join our general signage preparation and installation division.

We offer a large range of products and services to an ever expanding clientele base both locally and nationally.

The business is set up with over 30 qualified staff in specific roles including;

• Project Management.
• Graphic design and printing.
• CNC and Laser cutting operations.
• Metal working and welding.
• Plastic Fabrication.
• Spray painting.
• Sign manufacturing.
• General sign preparation and installation.
• Vinyl preparation and installation.
• Estimating.
• Administration

We are looking for experienced staff to join our General Signage and vinyl preparation and install teams. You will be working in an experienced crew carrying out tasks such as:

• Vinyl preparation
• Laminating and graphics preparation
• General signage assembly
• General signage installation
• Store and office fitouts
• Vehicle graphics
• Vehicle wrapping (optional)

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Previous experience in a similar role for 5+ years
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills
• Time management skills
• Problem solving ability
• Manual drivers licence
• Valid White card

This position is a hands on role working on a wide range of projects both large and small, with works to be conducted both in the factory and onsite.

We have a motivated team with a positive work culture and a low staff turnover. 

Standard work hours are;

5.30 - 3.30pm MON-THURS.

5.30 - 3pm FRI.

RDOs last Friday of every month.

No requirement or obligation for night or weekend works but they are often there if you are interested in making some extra money as there is always plenty to do.

Hourly rate pay fully negotiable pending on the ability and experience of the successful applicant. Your ability to complete projects in a professional, competent and timely manor will be reflected in the rate of pay offered and negotiated.
