Site & General Foremen

My client is a National Tier Two Builder that has successfully and consistently expanded its business over the last fifty years through repeat client work. A business can only manage to do this when they're delivering top quality work and provide an experience through the project lifecycle that has their clients convinced they wouldn't dare use a different builder. Not many organisations can pull that off. It takes a corporate culture where relationships are highly valued, collaboration is encouraged, good communication is common practice, and the staff all feel appreciated for their hard work.

Due to organic growth and recent, successful project awards, their NSW business requires additional, experienced Site & General Foreman/Supervisors for the delivery of their current and upcoming Commercial and Residential projects.

2IC to the Site Manager, you will be working with a proven team who already has a track record of successfully completing multiple projects together within the company.

Responsibilities: 

• Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be assisting the project team with contractual and programme requirements, construction in accordance with the specifications and project documentation and providing reviews to ensure trade scopes are inclusive of all project requirements and deliverables.
• Manage Quality Assurance throughout the delivery.
• Manage the timely delivery of works against the target programme. 
• Provide Look-ahead / short-term programmes for the team and subcontractors.
• Attend & Assist the Site Manager with weekly Subcontractor meetings.
• Review & ensure the Scope of Works are inclusive of all works & requirements in conjunction with the Site manager and administration team. 
• Review issued project documentation, shop drawings and ensure they are correct, relevant and project specific with the assistance of the project team.
• Manage Sub-Contractors, their resource requirements and quality of work.
• Manage safe work on site, issue work permits and approvals on site in accordance with the WHS legislations & project specific SWMS with the assistance of the project Safety Coordinator & NSW Safety Manager.
• Minimise defects thorough constant ITP controls.
• Manage & mentor junior staff.

Skills & Experience: 

• Minimum 5 years experience in a Site and/or General Foreman/Supervisor role on residential and/or commercial construction projects valued $40m+
• Previous employment with a reputable Tier 1-2 Builder
• Proven track record delivering projects from start to finish.
• Good career tenure showing loyalty, resilience and reliability.
• Relevant industry qualifications
• Experience managing program requirements, weekly look-aheads, ITP's and sub-contractors.
• Strong communication skills
• A good team player
