The Company
Safesearch is working exclusively with a world class company supporting other businesses streamlining and construction/fitout of Distribution Centres. They have a high performing operational team supported by a small but excellent HSE function. There is a current fitout and construction in Sydney's (central) west, easily accessible from all directions.
The Role
They require some on-site assistance to navigate the day to day risks and challenges of the large scale fitout and automation project, with around 6 months left in the project.
This role will work hands on with the operational teams, guiding and advising the hazards that have been identified. These include working at heights, plant and equipment, traffic management and transport of heavy materials.
This role will report into an experienced National Safety Manager, who will be an excellent mentor and manager.
The role is a "Monday to Friday" position. The site will close down from Christmas for a break - so you don't miss out on your time with family/summer break.
The Person
Solid experience in a Health and safety role (perhaps an Advisor or Senior Advisor position) for approximately 5 to 8 years
Able to commit for the coming 6 months, ideally with an immediate start
Familiar with working in an environment with multiple contractors
Well-developed communication skills - written and verbal
Demonstrated experience in working with a broad set of stakeholders
A tertiary qualification in Safety, Quality, environment (or equivalent).
