DO you have Cert3 (min) in HSE/OHS, strong experience in a construction environment and current white card?
We have an immediate opportunity for on an already well progressed construction site, working under the PCBU and end-client to support the team on site during commissioning.
Supported by our client's on-site manager as well as national safety manager, the role is both site and office based, including regular site walks, inspection of exclusion zones, lifting and EWP procedures and the creation of weekly safety report.
About you:
You have a demonstrable track record as a Safety coordinator in a construction or engineering-installation environment including a basic understanding of electrical installation methodology and cert. 3 (min) on HSE/OHS. In addition, you:
- Understand local site regulations and laws (e.g. test and tag register, WHS legislation in terms of fall protection, WHS requirements from an Australian Work Safe perspective, etc.)
- Can create risk assessments / SWMS documentation.
- Have experience in handling injury and compliance investigations
- Are adept in identifying hazards and controlling risks in the workplace and implementing health and safety plans
- Have excellent interpersonal skills for training employees and contractors on WHS procedures and for advising WHS strategies
- Have strong multi-level stakeholder engagement leadership and communication skills
- and can consult, cooperate and coordinate activities with the PCBU, customer and line manager.
- Can create high-level documentation for the recording, investigation, and reporting of safety performance (using MS suite)
