Job Purpose
The ST role conforms to RA-45 CILS Technician, and is broken down in to 3 different levels dependent on experience level, as follows:
ST Level 3 Entry level.
ST Level 2 Minimum 12 months worked as ST L3.
Passed L2 assessment.
ST Level 1 Minimum 24 months worked as ST L2.
Passed L1 assessment.
Task & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and Preparation of equipment prior to exercise e.g. repacking, configuration of system
- Issue and receipt of equipment
- Corrective Maintenance, Trouble shooting
- Electrical and mechanical repairs
- Preventive maintenance
- Stock taking
- Trouble Shooting
- Willing to take on secondary roles on a temporary basis
- Support overseas exercises where required
- Customer Facing Communication Skills
Level of Technicians-defined
ST level 1.
Specific requirements
- Can perform the CILS work unsupervised
- Comprehensive knowledge in electrical and mechanical repairs specific to DFWES Equipment
- Logistic experience
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Comprehensive Analytic skills (trouble shooting)
- Forklift operating license (if required by respective site)
- Soldering certificate (if required by respective site)
- Specific driving license (if required by respective site)
- Saab-internal ESD education
- Supervisory Skills
- Deputise for DSMs as needed
ST level 2.
Specific requirements
- Can perform the CILS work with limited supervision
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical repairs specific to DFWES Equipment
- Logistic Knowledge
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Analytic knowledge (trouble shooting)
- Forklift operating license (if required by respective site)
- Soldering certificate (if required by respective site)
- Specific driving license (if required by respective site)
- Saab-internal ESD education
ST level 3.
Specific requirements
- Can perform the CILS work with supervision
- Can perform simple repairs
- Basic Logistic Knowledge
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Limited BT46/BT47/WinExcon/CSS knowledge, as required by site (trouble shooting)
- Forklift operating license (if required by respective site)
- Soldering certificate (if required by respective site)
- Specific driving license (if required by respective site)
- Saab-internal ESD education
