Skilled Demolition Worker

Excel Demolition is a well established and reputable Commercial Demolition and Hazardous Materials Removal Contractor, undertaking projects throughout Sydney.  We are currently seeking an experienced Skilled Demolition Worker to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Safely carry out demolition works under the direction of the Site Supervisor
• Ensure compliance with company safety practices and policies at all times
• Safely operate demolition equipment including jackhammers, grinders, demolition saws and assorted power tools
• Work well as part of the team and independently as required to complete tasks efficiently and ability to lead a small team of 2-3 labourers
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards on site
• Participate in safety briefings / site inductions.

Requirements

• Valid Construction Industry White Card
• 2 + years of Demolition experience
• Practice and promote safety within the workplace
• Competent in the use of demolition tools and equipment
• Physically fit, reliable and hard working
• Effective communication skills
• Full clean Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Any other plant tickets / VOC's highly regarded
• Ability to work as part of a team
