With its high rainfall and cold winters, it's a perfect environment for growing pasture-fed cattle.Longford's complex medium sized fully integrated processing facility produces a range of grass and grain fed beef products under brands such as King Island Beef, Red Gum, Great Southern, Pinnacle and Little Joes.JBS Longford exports to over 30 countries around the world including Brazil, China, Switzerland, and the EU. Longford's plant employs approximately 300 team members with a current processing capacity of 550 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days a week.About the Role:JBS Australia is Australia's largest and most respected meat packer, marketer and exporter, supplying the finest grain fed and pasture fed meats to export and domestic customers for more than 20 years.An exciting opportunity exists at our Longford Plant for experienced Skilled Meat Workers. • To adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
• Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction.
• Good communications skills essential
• Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
• A professional work attitude.
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Superior attendance.
• Performing general Slaughtering/Boning/Slicing/Sawing duties.
• High focus & attention to detail.

About you:

• A minimum of 2 years' proven experience in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering/Sawing duties required.
• Relevant qualification (Cert 2/3 Meat processing) advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of different rotations.
• Proven high level of knife sharpening skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements.
• Highly developed interpersonal and commination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work with supervisors on improving daily duties.
