Sleep Scientist/CPAP Therapist

Sleep Services Australia is a diagnostic and specialist treatment centre for home-based sleep studies and CPAP therapy patients who have diagnosed sleep disorders. 

The main objective of this part-time role is to improve the quality of life for our patients.  We are looking for an experienced CPAP Therapist/Sleep Technician to help keep up with our growing number of patients and appointments. 

You will possess skills and passion for delivering high quality customer service in a professional and caring manner with your main responsibility being the provision of CPAP therapy and ongoing support to patients with diagnosed sleep apnoea. You will provide patients with information relating to their sleep-studies and how to apply their diagnostic and CPAP equipment in a caring a supportive way.   This role is offered as a part-time position working at least three days a week and may lead to full-time employment

Your duties will include:

• Provide dedicated services for patients both face to face and over the telephone
• Liaising with physicians, hospitals and medical service providers to ensure appropriate provision of products and services are met
• Stock control and ordering of appropriate CPAP equipment 
• Provide CPAP set-ups and reviews
• Sterilising of clinical equipment
• Prepare/review reports/letters for referring practitioners and insurance companies
• Advise patients of Healthy Sleep habits
• Conduct lung function testing
• Occasional front of house reception/welcoming patients
• Schedule patient appointments
• Deal appropriately with incoming calls, emails and recorded messages
• Data Entry of patient details into clinical databases
• General administration/filing duties relating to CPAP patients
• Invoicing and receipting for CPAP equipment and consults.

Qualifications and Qualities:

• Previous experience working within a sleep-related role and/or with sleep studies or CPAP therapy
• Qualification in Health or Science will be highly considered
• A compassionate and highly professional approach towards working with patients is essential
• This position is ideal for Sleep/CPAP technicians, nurses and medical sales representatives who have worked in a sleep lab or CPAP clinic.
